Campaign: Campus Connection
2022-2024 • Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube
The Campus Connection series was a biweekly carousel post that highlighted upcoming events on campus at San Jacinto College. I created Campus Connection in an effort to reduce the number of flyers we were required to post on a regular basis, which was desirable for several reasons. This long-term project involved a lot of trial and error, but I eventually found success. Read more about the entire process in the slideshow below.
The behind-the-scenes process exemplifies one of my biggest professional strengths: I am constantly working to improve, learn, and grow. I thoroughly enjoy experimentation and analysis!

There is always something to promote at a college with five campuses and 200+ academic programs!

By the summer of 2022, the amount of flyers I needed to post had spiraled out of control. The flyers were originally created by employees to print and hang in the halls. I would usually redesign the flyers to increase visual appeal and meet brand standards before posting — a practice that would take eight hours per week, on average.

In December 2022, the governor of Texas issued an order to all state agencies banning the use of TikTok on state networks and state-issued devices. As a public college, this applied to us. San Jac's TikTok account was on permanent hiatus, which limited our ability to reach our target audience.

We tried a few different changes to our format.

This initiative drastically reduced the amount of text appearing in the college's feeds. There was still room for improvement, but we were thrilled to see more people and faces!
